Theatre meets art at Thalia

THALIA GALLERY is preparing something special on Saturday, July 15, at 7pm, for its visitors: its first theatrical performance which will take place in this unique art space. Three actors will give us a beautiful evening presenting an interactive performance around art, which was created especially for the occasion. The actors will discuss and comment upon Thalia Gallery’s current art exhibition and will surprise us with their inspiration, energy and humor. The play highlights art as an experience for all, experts and non-experts, that everyone can experience, and for which everyone can have a say.

Gallery founders Audrey and Dimitris will offer the audience refreshing drinks to relax and enjoy the performance and art exhibition. Tickets are available at the gallery or by email at thalia.artspace@gmail.com. Admission is 10 euros for adults and 7 euros for children.

For Thalia Gallery, this project is the beginning of a series of theatrical performances that will be presented in the gallery with the aim of exploring art. Let’s not forget that the name “Thalia”, also has a theatrical aspect to it, seeing as it is the name of the muse of comedy.

During the evening, the comments and views of the audience will be heard, and their interests too will be taken into consideration, in terms of future artistic events that could be held at the venue.

Thalia Gallery’s current art exhibition based on the theme of the sea and the famous phrase of Heraclitus “Everything flows and nothing abides”, in which the painters Marina Syntelis and Fay Anagnostopoulou, are participating, continues at Thalia Gallery until July 30.

On Thursday, July 13, 11am-1pm. Fay Anagnostopoulou will be giving a painting demo in the gallery. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet her and discover the secrets and techniques of her evocative abstract art.

Thalia Gallery will be closed for the summer holidays from August 1st to August 18th.

Next up, will be a group exhibition entitled “Through the Eyes of Aphrodite”, which will focus on the many facets and stories surrounding the goddess of love and beauty who has inspired so many cultures through the ages.
