THE EXHIBITION « Through the eyes of Aphrodite », curated by Audrey Alamy, founder of Thalia Gallery, is a visual exploration of Beauty and Love. Three painters with different styles and techniques invite us to explore different perspectives on Beauty and Love through the myths of the Goddess Aphrodite.

The exhibition begins with a selection of artworks from Stella Sevastopoulos, offering a lyrical and poetic approach to Beauty and Love that reflect sweetness and inspiration. This series of works unfolds and plays with the sea, foam and shapes, blending acrylics and printing techniques, offering visitors an escape into a dreamlike world. This first part of the exhibition is about rhythm, inspired by myths from Hesiod and hymns to Aphrodite, but also referencing the Venus de Milo in some works – a major source of inspiration for artists over centuries.
The exhibition continues with a series from George Bardakas that offers us a diametrically opposed perspective, revealing the darkness and the jealousy arising from the Beauty and Love. The darkness unfolds through a series of works in acrylics, recycled materials, and three-dimensional techniques, which the artist handles with elegance, offering us a stunning series of Black Art. In the rhythm of his works, we rediscover the passions of the Aphrodite myths with an unprecedented intensity.

The final perspective is offered by Natalia Kazirelova reflecting the myth of the Goddess of Beauty and Love through diversity and vanity. The artist depicts this plurality with a mix of techniques, using acrylics and collage. She brilliantly portrays the different faces of Beauty through, a Goddess, a person, a child. Regardless the face of Beauty, destiny is fatal in every case: a destroyed city, lost heroes, a murdered young man whose blood runs on the ground giving life to an ephemeral Beauty that reflects his existence, the anemone.
