THE SERIES of exhibitions inspired by quotes about art, at the gallery of the Hellenic-French League on Kolonaki  Square, continue with a quote by Ionesco: “A work of art, above all, is an adventure of the mind”. This series of exhibitions is organsied by Dimitris Lazarou. The current exhibition runs till October 28.

Lazarou says of the exhibition’s theme:

“A work of Art is, above all, an adventure of the mind… without knowing its end, since Art has no limits and no end. Maybe it’s because the human brain is still unexplored, maybe it’s because the artist explores the unexplored, following instinct and not logic sometimes, what many may not see, following the unknown that acquires a peculiar and adventurous character by itself, without knowing the end which is the completion of his work and his release from it, so that it may then be for the enjoyment of his viewer. But is this the end or the purpose?”
