TSANTILIS ART GALLERY & Art Historian Annita Patsouraki present “WINTER LIGHTS: A SEASON OF ART”, a festive group art exhibition, which will have an opening reception on Friday, December 19, 6-9pm. Comprising the work of 11 contemporary artists, plus a selection of works from the gallery’s permanent collection, this exhibition celebrates the way artists depict light via their creative process. And winter light in Greece is of interest, seeing as it might not have the heat of the summer, but it certainly remains crisp and luminous. “One thing that is amazing here in Greece, is the light. Whether it’s winter or summer, the light is bright and captivating. It brings you joy, that even in December, when it is colder, the sun will still shine down brightly on us, radiating light and warmth,” says artist Stella Sevastopoulos, one of the participating artists, whose work ‘Aegean Blues’ that features in the exhibition, depicts the way that light dances on the sea.
