Rorris in focus

Giorgos Rorris, is an artist who has mastered the painting of the human form via oils, to such an extent that not only does he paint his models’ exterior appearance, but he also manages to capture the inner life of his sitters via the painting process . Each painting is like an ode to the human psyche, its darkest recesses captured on canvas, disguised under flesh. Sotiris Felios, is a collector who has certainly supported the artist’s work. The show ‘Giorgos Rorris: The Hidden Image’ at the Sotiris Felios Collection on Fokionos Negri St, presents 33 works by the artist (that are part of the collection), dating from 1990 to the present day. The show has been curated by Elizabeth Plessa. For those who would like to learn more about Rorris’ art, straight from the artist’s mouth, then consider that Rorris will be giving three guided tours of the exhibition at 12.30pm (on Saturday February 13 and 27, plus on Sunday March 20). The exhibition runs February 3-March 27.

• The Sotiris Felios Collection is on 16 Fokionos Negri St. The exhibition will be closed on March 12 and 13. (www.felioscollection.gr)
