TSANTILIS ART GALLERY is gearing up for the solo exhibition “Fragments of Olympus”, by Kiriakos Paroutiadis, to be inaugurated on Friday, September 11, at 18.30. Many of Paroutiadis’ works are already on show at the gallery, and may be viewed. They display this artist’s exploration of white on white, the purity of white but also its tonal gradations as created when white is handled sculpturally and texturally. His works hark back to greek antiquity, and the pureness of ancient marble forms and reliefs, as we have become accustomed to seeing them, stripped of the colours which once were painted onto them. Paroutiadis has successfully managed to create his own unique and refreshed interpretation of the theme of white flowers on a white background, bringing it into a new age and era, and giving it a new lease of life via his own unique perspective. Some of Paroutiadis’ compositions lean towards a geometric abstraction, yet other works also present an interest in organic forms, where attention has been given to studying some of nature’s aesthetically-inspiring creations.

Paroutiadis’ work introduces a refined contemporary interpretation of Greek mythology through sculpture, material innovation and collectible design. The exhibition does not recreate antiquity; it transforms it. Ancient symbols and mythological archetypes are distilled into a sophisticated visual language where geometry, texture, light and material become the essence of contemporary expression. Paroutiadis’ works reveal a rare balance between architectural precision, sculptural sensitivity and refined minimalism. Through geometric reliefs, carefully developed surfaces and innovative materials, each piece becomes a powerful dialogue between form and space. Beyond sculpture, these creations exist as exceptional design objects — artworks with strong decorative presence, created for contemporary interiors, private collections and architectural environments seeking originality and timeless character. Every piece represents a fragment of collective memory: a contemporary interpretation of myths, heroes and symbols that continue to shape human imagination.

Through craftsmanship, innovation and a deep understanding of materiality, Paroutiadis transforms ancient references into timeless works positioned between art, design and cultural heritage.
The official inauguration of “Fragments of Olympus” by Kiriakos Paroutiadis, is on Friday, September 11, 18.30. The exhibition will run for 10 days.
