‘Flower Power 5’ at FokiaNou

FOKIANOU Art Space presents Flower Power 5, the fifth edition of its annual spring group exhibition celebrating the enduring presence of flowers in contemporary artistic practice. Each year, the Fokianou apartment is transformed into a vibrant meeting place — a “garden” that blossoms through the diverse voices, materials, and approaches of the participating artists. This vibrant group exhibition opens on Thursday, May 7, 6pm. Runs till May 24.

Mary Cox

The exhibition explores the role of flowers as image, symbol, memory, or point of departure for new narratives. With sensitivity, boldness, or a distinctly personal lens, the works engage with the flower not merely as an aesthetic motif but as a carrier of meaning, emotion, and experience that resonates across time and artistic expression.

Flower Power 5 continues a tradition that has become a hallmark of FokiaNou Art Space: an annual celebration of spring, creativity, and the inexhaustible power of flowers to inspire, move, and connect.

Curated by Mary Cox and Panagiotis Voulgaris.
